Faith is being sure of what we hope

And the same things that are the object of our hope, are the object of our faith. Faith connects you to God; it is your admission that you are dependent upon Him; that your hope is in Him. On the other hand, the analogy of the second member of the verse, and a peculiarity in the Greek construction which we cannot here discuss, seem to be in favour of a third rendering of the words: Faith will make you work today Faith is not something for long ago; for trusting in Jesus for salvation and not trusting Him for anything else.

They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. And the Amplified Bible puts it best when it calls faith the title deed of the things we hope for.

Through faith, guided by the same word, the things unseen are brought to the proof; what that word teaches, though future, or though belonging to a world beyond human sight, is received with full conviction. Because we have faith!

It means you trust Him for everything--even when it is difficult sometimes. All hope presupposes faith Ro 8: If this is the case, it is important to know what faith is, so that we can regulate and conduct ourselves in faith, not by what we see, taste, touch, hear or feel. However, the Greek is translated in Heb 3: Being saved is not something that you can see, hear, smell, touch or feel.

It was natural for Abel to worship. It pleases Him because it is Him you are trusting and no one and nothing else.

Now Faith is Being Sure of What We Hope For (Hebrews 11:1-2)

But we do know that his faith caused him to worship God. Faith is where you please God, admit your dependence upon Him, and continually seek to rely upon Him and His grace. As to the sense intended here, views differ. This passage in Hebrews is the mere definition of faith.

You have faith that the doctors you see are competent. The exact meaning of the special terms here used it is not easy to ascertain. Your walk will change if you continue to trust in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
